EQ Frostfell and other things

The Frostfell quests in Everquest II are amusing, even the second and third time around. (I will admit to being more snarky with McScroogle's girlfriend when it was pretty obvious she wasn't going to be swayed by any smooth talking.) I was collecting gifts and told a friend about the very goblin decorations. She asked for pictures so here they are.

And one of Varias slaving away in a dungeon. She was definitely dangerous; it was a tricky situation but he came out okay. (With a date for Saturday night)

New Me

My avatar here has been updated. I made a vectorized version of Heliahn for the guild website and forum. Detail has been added to it when I have had spare moments of time. Tonight I added a background scene to make it look better than the rather boring gradient that was behind it before.

I have also made a banner for the website. I think it is kind of neat. I had other ideas as well but there seems to be little interest on the part of the guild leader to even look at the one that's up there so until such time as I have gotten some sort of feedback then I will not waste my efforts.

Looking For Group

I have got to say I love the Random Dungeon Finder . I wasn't sure how I would feel about it as a lower level toon but it is still quite awesome. The experience is much quicker than questing ( At least at my pace) The drops are better and it helps you check how your new character stacks up in a group setting.

It is good to see those old dungeons that rarely get adventured in becoming well explored once again.

******

I am now playing a paladin. (He is the latest in the healer army) Beacon of Light = Back asswards. I like it but it is hard to get used to -not- directly healing someone who's health is low.

Completely unrelated. I am finally giving up my Southsea Head Bucket. *Mourns its loss* Its just such a funny name. The little things amuse me.

Information Please?

I am ever amazed at the inability of some of my real life friends to accept that I *might* know what I am talking about. Lets forget about dungeons and quests for a minute; I've given up on them ever listening to me on those.

But equipment for a priest, while I am playing...a priest. Yes, far better to ask the paladin who has never had a high level healer. (Not that he probably wouldn't have given her good advice. He probably did) But it goes beyond annoying to feel like an ignored resource.

Perhaps she'd like to think that she's my equal as a player? ( I think she'd need a lot more nights of practice before that happens) *shrug* I am going to continue being irritated by it until I just don't care any more. I just hope the lack of concern doesn't spill over to the guild at large. Right now I feel pretty useless. Worse, I can't even do what I enjoy doing because she isn't spec'd for damage. There is nothing like dying while thinking "If I'd been healing we would have lived." *grumble*

Utgarde and the Cat

So we're in the keep tonight and trying the first boss with a 69 paladin as the tank. It was tough to heal enough through everything going on in the fight and I was ice blocked almost always. We decide maybe someone else should tank. The 71 druid says he'll do it. Great, makes sense! Then he asks.

"So should I be in cat form or bear form?"

*blink blink*

Best DK Pet ever!

There has been much drama of late in the world of warcraft for me and that has led to not much posting. However, humor was found in my deathknight and the friends that she chooses for companions. By far my favourite has been Pebblehead the ghoul.

Sadly, I cannot post a picture of Pebblehead because it turns out he couldn't swim all that well and had not the sense to join in walking above the water when she cast path of frost. So long, Pebblehead, though you sink like a...stone, we salute you.

The Brave and the Bold

I arrived later than the rest of the party for the Culling of Stratholme; when I got there three of the four were dressed in their skivvies. Interesting, I didn't take -that- long but apparently the party had started without me.

We listened to Arthas give his argument for the slaughter of innocents and then headed into battle... the others were still quite naked!

I inspected our tank and found that, according to his character information, he was actually sporting more armor than just his undies. I asked another group mate if she was seeing the same glitch but apparently I was the only one that got lucky. ;)

So...Our paladins know no fear; they walk through plague infested streets wearing not much more than the gods gave them. These righteous warriors are not push overs! (No matter what their pretty pink nameplates might lead you to believe.)
